Hey Delegates!
My name is Bhakti Patel, and I am so honored to serve as your Secretary-General for LIMUN XL!
This year, we are celebrating a very special anniversary of LIMUN, as it's the 40th LIMUN in LAMP history. I am so grateful to be a part of this amazing accomplishment. I started out as a freshman competing in UNEP, then as a sophomore competing in the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Last year, I was the chair of the WHO, and now I have the privilege of serving as the 40th Secretary General in LIMUN History. I want to honor the 40 conferences that preceded LIMUN XL. We would not be here right now if it weren't for the hard work and dedication of our chairs, secretaries, teachers, students, staff, and many more people who put their all into this amazing conference. LIMUN is a tradition I hold very dear to my heart.
Here's a little bit about me:
Outside of MUN, I’m involved in LAMP’s DECA and Mock Trial teams. I also help manage social media for LAMP, especially the yearbook and robotics accounts.
I love traveling and flying to destinations both across the U.S. and internationally. So far, my favorite places I’ve visited are London and Alaska!
I’m also a proud Alabama fan. Roll Tide!
Finally, I’m a vegetarian—no, I do not eat grass. As an Indian American, I’m also a huge Taco Bell fan (yes, the irony is intentional). My go-to order is a cheesy bean and rice burrito, nacho fries, and a Baja Blast.
Beyond all of this, LIMUN has given me an amazing opportunity to serve my school, my community, and the delegates that attend. Whether it is your first time coming to LIMUN or you're a veteran, I hope your unique LIMUN experience is one for the books. As we celebrate 40 years of diplomacy, collaboration, and unforgettable memories, I encourage each of you to step outside your comfort zone, embrace new opportunities, and make the most of every moment. Never be afraid to dream big, take chances, and discover what you’re capable of achieving.
Reach for the stars; the sky is the limit!
Bhakti Patel
Secretary-General of LIMUN XL
