Welcome, delegates, to LIMUN XXXIX!
My name is Jongwoo and I’m excited to serve as a specialized committee chair this year. I’m a junior at LAMP and I hope to make this conference a fun and exciting experience for you all.
Speaking of fun, the Historical NATO: The Warsaw Pact could be both fun and serious depending on how you run it. However, we’re all high schoolers, and I expect each of you to respect the program, the parliamentary procedure, and each other.
That said, I’m looking forward to hearing some interesting and unconventional argumentation, and I think this committee is a wonderful opportunity to push your skills to the limit or play devil’s advocate on a rather serious topic.
As for my personal side:
I’m really into debate and my hobbies include tennis and doomscrolling.
I’m love The Great Gatsby(film and book).
I’m planning on watching The Summer I Turned Pretty.
One last note: As you enter this conference, I want you to remember that your participation means everything to make this event fun. Trust me, I understand the struggle of public speaking, but if you just come prepared and ready to work, it’ll make a world of difference. I would rather you speak and be wrong than be miserable in the back of the room. LIMUN can be incredibly eye-opening and engaging if you just give it a chance! I look forward to seeing you all!
Best wishes,
Jongwoo Lee
