Hello Delegates! My name is Sahasra and I’ll be your chair for the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP). I chaired at the last LIMUN and have around 2 years of experience with MUN.
A little more about me:
I love math! It was a great introduction to creative, collaborative problem solving. That kind of problem solving is why I joined MUN and continues to be one of my favorite things about MUN.
I enjoy arguing over dumb topics and trying absurd food combinations that I am not allergic to. (Pancakes and ketchup, anyone?)
Drawing, reading, and watching too much Netflix are some of my favorite things to do.
UNEP is perfect for beginners who want a more gentle introduction to Parliamentary Procedure. This committee is about educated and respectful debate about pressing environmental international issues such as: preventing wildlife trafficking, decreasing carbon emissions from buildings, and decreasing negative impacts of e-waste. Most importantly, remember to have fun!
I look forward to seeing all of you!
Sahasra
