Salutations delegates!
My name is Sriyansh Vangara, and I am a rising junior at LAMP this year. I am honored to serve as your International Olympic Committee (IOC) chair this year at the XXVIII LIMUN Conference. Together, we (I mean EVERYONE; don’t be shy freshmen) will learn new things, become better at articulating responsible rhetoric, but most of all have fun talking about a controversial topic, SPORTS. It’s just the perfect committee to be in, especially with the Summer Olympics just ending at the beginning of the school year! Whether you are a sports enthusiast or not, be ready to encounter a memorable experience with lots of learning and memories. We will get to debate topics regarding motorsports, host cities, and some crisis scenarios if the time permits, so bring enthusiasm and passion.
Also, let me tell you a little about myself! My favorite show is Naruto Shippuden and my favorite pastime is robotics. Consequently, I want to major in electrical engineering. I like dark chocolate but not too bitter. Lastly, my favorite subject is math!
Let me set a couple of rules for this year's LIMUN IOC.
Keep everything school-appropriate
You are expected to have a mostly productive dialogue
Keep your electronic usage to a minimum and only use it for research purposes
Step out of your comfort zone.
I hope you guys have another great LIMUN experience. And freshman, I know this is your first LIMUN experience so remember that it's going to be fun only if you participate!!!
Good Luck.
Your Chair,
Sriyansh Vangara
