Hey Delegates!
Welcome to the LAMP Invitational Model UN Conference XXXVIII! My name is Yash Param, and I am a junior at LAMP. This is my third year on the Model United Nations Travel Team. I've competed in Model UN several times, with all of my experience being on the International Court of Justice, so I'm really excited to be chairing it this year. My interests are mostly involved in politics, philosophy, government, and law. So far, my favorite classes at LAMP have been AP U.S. History and AP Psychology. I'm addicted to Chick-fil-A waffle fries and Diet Coke for some reason. I love to eat at Bad Daddys (the best restaurant in Montgomery). I love traveling and exploring new places, with my favorite being the Cancun.
As opposed to representing a certain country, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) enables you to conduct research to come up with your stance to further encourage collaborative talks with the other Justices. Given how deeply power and politics are rooted in our world, it is up to us to decide which countries/parties attain justice and to prosecute those who violate international law. I hope to eventually see you all in committee! Good luck and break a leg!!
Sincerely,
Yash Param
